Roguelike Diablo crossed with FTL with a town mechanic that assures that some of your hard work persists after characters die. This is a very cool game with a unique art style and a novel combination of tried and true game mechanics.. Controls are a little funky, and when playing the shaman and using the speed boost spell, you can barely run properly. Pretty fun ARPG with some base building\/roguelike features. There are four classes in game and each has four special attack\/defense skills to invest in besides the standard stats. You choose random encounters across a "world map" and up grade your town with materials earned from each encounter. Most of the game feels stable, only had 2 crashes in all my time played. However, on occasion some maps will load with no encounters spawning on them, forcing you to exit back to the load screen. Would like to have seen a few more map types as the journey across the world map gets a bit stale as you progress. Boss fights were ok , liked that each had some diversity. Overall enjoyable game that can be played at your own pace.. This is an okay game with a mix of text-based events and mini horde mode fight with very simple action RPG combat. I like a lot of the concepts a lot, if some depth and variety is added it could be quite fun. I rated this positive because it's not a bad game especially for the price point but right now I'd only recommend it to anyone who really wants a very simple quick-to-play action rpg with some text adventure elements.Things I liked:- Building up a home base- Bite-sized text/combat sections are nice if you want a quick play- General RPG progressionWhat needs work:- Combat isn't very fun or deep- Combat levels could be more interesting- More text events needed- Mappable hotkeys neededYou play as one of two classes (a new class should be added soon) as you go through a horizontal list of encounter options - fighting, text, or "gamble" which could be either. Combat is generally a bunch of guys spawning and coming at you while you mash your attack button and pop abilities on cooldown. Text based stuff is decent, you're presented with a scenario with a couple of options. I saw most text events multiple times, so there definitely needs to be more of those. I enjoyed building up the town, with the feeling that multiple heroes are coming through and improving things to benefit future heroes. Some of the UI stuff could use some work.The game has potential but it's risky to buy on potential alone. You're probably better off waiting to get this but at the same time it's decent enough for its price point, so I can't give it a negative rating. I will definitely be trying it again as more content is added in the future.. 09-28-2016 \u2013 picked this game up today and messed around with it for a few moments. And already I have to say I like it and it has a lot of potential, but it still needs a lot of work, especially the UI and controls. So with that being said I think ill hold onto the game and see where it goes as far as progress.. The core gameplay is arena style combat that feels boring and clunky. Borders of the level can be hard to see, allowing your to get trapped without first realizing why.The non-action gameplay might be good, but I'm not giving that a chance since the core gameplay just isn't any fun.
